毎月TODOリスト～Monthly To-Do List～

English after Japanese.

妻として、母として、過ごしてきて、もう１０年以上の年月が過ぎました。

そんな中で、毎月すること、毎年することをリストアップし、TODOリストとして確立させてきました。

今回は「毎月TODOリスト」をシェアしたいと思います。

わたしは毎月１日になると（２項目だけ１５日にも）、このリストを順番にこなしていきます。何日もかけて少しずつ実行したり、やる気のある１日でほぼ全てを終わらせたりと、その時によって実行のスピード感は違います。全部終わるといつもすっきりします。

デスクワーク	証券口座チェック	自分に関係のある「重要なお知らせ」が来てないかチェックします。証券会社のポイントが貯まっていれば、そのポイントを新たに投資に回します。
	家計簿まとめ	日々の支出は家計簿アプリで管理しています。その情報を元に、１か月の支出を１枚のエクセルにまとめて主人に共有します。今後のお金の使い方を話し合うきっかけにしています。
	スマホの写真整理	先月撮った写真で、いらないものを削除します。同じような写真が複数ある場合は１枚だけ残します。
	写真集作成	長男が生まれる少し前から、毎月１冊の写真集を作っています。２０枚程度の写真で構成されています。我が家の歴史です。
	おじいちゃんおばあちゃんにビデオを共有	遠くに住んでいて日頃はなかなか会えません。子どもたちのビデオを共有すると喜んでくれます。
リビング	クッションカバー、ブランケットの洗濯
キッチン	包丁研ぎ
	食洗機掃除	毎日お世話になっています。お手入れコースで掃除します。
	タワシ交換	タワシは鉄のフライパンや野菜を洗うのに使っています。
	スポンジ交換	毎月１日と１５日に取り替えます。半月ほど使うと、汚れも溜まり、へたってくるので。
	手袋交換	食器を洗う時、手荒れ防止に手袋をつけています。
	まな板削り	木のまな板を使用しています。１か月使用した分の汚れを削り落とします。
ダイニング	掃除機掃除（ルンバ含む）	掃除機を分解して、洗えるパーツは庭で水洗いします。
	棚のほこり取り	ハンディモップで、棚の上に置いてる額や小物の上のほこりを取ります。
	（冬）灯油ヒーターフィルター掃除
	（夏）エアコンフィルター掃除
玄関	ディフューザースティック交換	アロマ液にディフューザースティックを挿しています。アロマ液は、アロマオイルとエタノールとグリセリンを混ぜて手作りしています。アロマオイルはオレンジがお気に入りです。アロマ液が減っていれば足します。
	玄関飾り交換	月ごとに玄関に置く飾りを替えています。２月は桃の節句があるので雛人形、５月は端午の節句があるので兜、１２月はクリスマス関係など。
	靴磨き	革靴を専用のクリームを使って磨きます。ケアの行き届いた素敵な靴は、持ち主を素敵な場所へ連れて行ってくれると信じています。
お風呂、洗面台	珪藻土削り	我が家ではバスマットではなく珪藻土マットを足ふき用として使っています。
	コンタクト交換	毎月１日と１５日に取り替えます。私が使っているコンタクトは２weekタイプです。
	歯ブラシ交換	いろんな柄のものを買っているので、子どもたちは毎回 選ぶのが楽しそうです。
寝室	ベッド下掃除	ほこりが溜まりやすいですよね。
その他	腕時計の日にち調整	日にちは自分で竜頭を巻いて合わせます。ぶっきっちょなので、この作業は苦手です。いつも日にちではなくて、時間がずれてしまいます。
	（冬）アウター洗濯	家で洗える素材のものは洗います。クリーニングが必要なものは冬が終わってからまとめて出します。

どの項目も主人や子どもたちと協力して終わらせるようにしています。子どもたちは途中で「もう終わり〜」とどこかへ行ってしまうこともありますが（笑）

将来、家を巣立った後も、自分で自分の暮らしを整えられるようになってくれたら嬉しいです。

Monthly To-Do List

As a wife and mother, more than ten years have passed since I started managing my household.
Over the years, I have compiled a list of tasks to be done every month and every year, establishing them as my To-Do List.
Today, I’d like to share my Monthly To-Do List with you.

On the first day of each month (except for two tasks, which I also do on the 15th), I go through this list one by one.
Sometimes, I spread the tasks out over several days, tackling them little by little. Other times, if I feel motivated, I complete almost everything in a single day.
Regardless of the approach, I always feel refreshed once I finish everything.

Desk Work	Check Securities Account	I review my securities account for any important notices and, if I have accumulated any points, I reinvest them.
	Household Budget Summary	I track daily expenses using a household budgeting app. At the beginning of each month, I compile the data into a single Excel sheet and share it with my husband. This helps us discuss our financial plans moving forward.
	Organize Smartphone Photos	I go through the photos I took last month and delete any unnecessary ones. If I have multiple similar pictures, I keep only one.
	Create a Photo Album	Since shortly before my eldest son was born, I have been making a monthly photo album with around 20 pictures. This is a record of our family’s history.
	Share Videos with Grandparents	Since our kids’ grandparents live far away and we can’t get to see them often, they always appreciate it when we send them videos of the kids.
Living Room	Wash Cushion Covers and Blankets
Kitchen	Sharpen Knives
	Clean the Dishwasher	We use the dishwasher every day, so I run a maintenance cleaning cycle regularly.
	Replace Scrub Brush	I use a scrub brush for cleaning iron pans and vegetables.
	Replace Sponge	I change kitchen sponges on the 1st and 15th of each month.After about two weeks, they tend to wear out and accumulate dirt.
	Replace Dishwashing Gloves	I wear gloves to prevent my hands from drying out while washing dishes.
	Sand Down the Cutting Board	I use a wooden cutting board and sand it down once a month to remove stains and maintain hygiene.
Dining Area	Clean the Vacuum Cleaner (including Roomba)	I take apart the vacuum and wash any washable parts outside.
	Dust the Shelves	I use a duster to remove dust from picture frames and decorations on the shelves.
	(Winter)Clean the Kerosene Heater Filter
	(Summer)Clean the Air Conditioner Filter
Entrance	Replace Aroma Diffuser Sticks	I make my own diffuser liquid by mixing essential oils, ethanol, and glycerin.My favorite scent is orange! If the diffuser liquid is running low, I refill it.
	Change Entrance Decorations	I switch out the decorations in the entrance area based on the month: ■February: Hina dolls for the Doll Festival ■May: Samurai helmet for Children’s Day ■December: Christmas decorations, etc.
	Polish Shoes	I polish leather shoes with a special cream. I believe that well-maintained shoes take their owner to wonderful places.
Bathroom &Sink Area	Sand Down the Diatomaceous Earth Bath Mat	Instead of a fabric bath mat, we use a diatomaceous earth mat, which I sand down to remove accumulated dirt.
	Replace Contact Lenses	I use two-week lenses, so I replace them on the 1st and 15th of each month.
	Replace Toothbrushes	I buy toothbrushes in different colors and designs, and my kids enjoy picking out a new one each time.
Bedroom	Clean Under the Bed	Dust tends to accumulate there, so I make sure to vacuum and wipe it regularly.
Other Tasks	Adjust the Date on My Wristwatch	I have to manually adjust the date by turning the crown.I’m not very skilled at this, and I often accidentally change the time instead!
	(Winter)Wash Outerwear	For materials that can be washed at home, I do the laundry myself.For items that require dry cleaning, I take them to the cleaners at the end of winter.

I try to complete each task together with my husband and kids.
Of course, sometimes the kids run off in the middle of the task, saying, “I’m done!” 😂

But I hope that when they grow up and move out, they’ll be able to take care of their own homes, just like we do now.
