義理の弟が結婚しました〜！！とっても嬉しい～！
素敵なお嫁さんが来てくれて、家族みんなで喜んでいます。
家族で集まって結婚祝いをしました。
一族総勢で13人。内、子どもは５人。
子どもたちも含め、みんなで楽しめるレクリエーションを考えましたので、みなさんにシェアします。
お祝いは旅館でしました。
お祝いの席が始まる前に、こっそり部屋を飾り付けしましたよ～
レクリエーション①クイズ大会
1.事前準備
1-1.クイズの作成（問題文と答え）
クイズを主人とわたしで考え、エクセルの表にまとめました。結婚するふたりに事前にシェアして、答えを４択で考えてもらいました。答えの４択を教えてもらう際、「本当の答えがわたしたちにバレないようにしてね」と伝えました。これでわたしたちも、クイズ大会の準備はするけど、本番のクイズ大会にも楽しく参加できます。
クイズ内容は以下の通りです。
・ふたりに関するクイズ
ふたりの初デートの場所やプロポーズの言葉など。
・H（義理の弟）に関するクイズ
Hの子ども時代や学生時代に関するものも含まれるので、Y（お嫁さん）も楽しめる内容にしました。答えはYには秘密にしておいてもらいます。
・Ｙ（お嫁さん）に関するクイズ
Yの子ども時代や学生時代に関するものも含まれるので、H（義理の弟）も楽しめる内容にしました。答えはHには秘密にしておいてもらいます。
・子どもだけ答えられるボーナスクイズ
子どもたちは「勝ちたい！」という気持ちが強いので、大人より子どもが有利になるように、子どもだけが回答権を与えられるボーナスクイズを準備しました。

1-2.選択肢を画用紙に書く。
選択肢が分かりやすいように、画用紙に書いていきました。言葉だけで４つも選択肢を言われると、１番目なんだったっけ？ってなりますもんね。
1-3.賞品の準備
金額をすり合わせて、ひとり１つ賞品を購入しておきます。中身がわからないように包装しておきます。
2.当日
・みんなから見えるところに事前に買っておいたプレゼントを並べておきます！
・クイズを読み、みんなに答えを４択から選んでもらいます。
・記録係が誰が何番を選んだかチェックしておきます（中学生の姪が担当してくれました！）
・記録係から点数の高い順でひとりずつ名前を呼んでもらいます。呼ばれた人はプレゼントを選びます。
ふたりに関するクイズで、初デートの場所とかプロポーズの言葉の答えを発表される時、聞きながらこっちが「きゃー」と照れてしまいました(笑）
その流れで義母が「あなたたちはどうだったの？」と姉夫婦にキラーパス。お義母さん、最高でした！
ふたりの子ども時代に関するクイズでは、結婚するふたりとも「へー！そうだったんだね〜」とお互いへの理解を深めることができたようでした。嬉しい！
子どもたち向けのボーナスクイズに大人は爆笑。大人から見たら答えは一目瞭然のものばかりでしたからね。
レクリエーション②ビンゴ
1.事前準備
1-1.アプリをダウンロード
ビンゴといえば、ガラガラ〜と回して数字の書いた玉が出てくる抽選機。
でも旅先に持っていくには少しかさばります。
なので今回は「Lucky Draw」というアプリで実施することにしました。
1-2.ビンゴカード購入
百均で購入しておきました。
1-3.賞品の準備
ビンゴ大会の賞品はお菓子です。こちらも金額を合わせてひとり１袋準備しました。
2.当日
・アプリを使って、番号を発表していきます。
・早くビンゴになった人から賞品を選びました。
クイズ大会でだいぶ時間をとったので、ビンゴ大会はかけ足で進めました～
最近は家族全員で集まれる機会は少なくなってきました。
わたしたちは実家から遠いところに住んでいて、夏休みや冬休みしか帰れないし、
義理の姉家族は子どもたちが大きくなってきて、部活の関係で帰ってこれないことも増えてきたからです。
なので、今回はとても貴重で楽しい時間になりました。
こうやって家族が集まれる機会があったことに感謝感謝です！
主人とわたしが結婚して、わたしを家族として迎えてくださった時、みなさん暖かく迎えてくれました。今回お嫁さんとして来てくれたYにも、この家族の一員になれて良かったと思ってもらえたら、この上ない幸せです。

Fun Family Activities for a Wedding Celebration – Ideas for All Ages
My brother-in-law just got married!
Such wonderful news—we’re all absolutely thrilled!
He found a lovely bride, and our entire family couldn’t be happier.
We had a family get-together to celebrate their marriage.
There were 13 of us in total, including 5 kids.
We wanted to plan some activities that everyone could enjoy—including the little ones—so here are a few fun ideas I’d love to share with you!
Celebrating at a Ryokan (Traditional Japanese Inn)
We held the celebration at a cozy ryokan.
We snuck in and set the decoration before the festivities began—surprise!
Activity #1: Quiz Game
1. Prep Work
1-1. Creating the Quiz
My husband and I came up with a series of quiz questions and organized them in an Excel spreadsheet.
We sent them to the couple ahead of time and asked them to write four answer choices for each question.
We also told them, “Make sure we can’t tell which one is the real answer!” That way, even though we planned the quiz, we could still enjoy participating in it ourselves.

Things like their first date location or the words used in the proposal. - About H (the groom, my brother-in-law):
Fun questions from his childhood and school days that even Y (the bride) would enjoy. H kept the correct answers a secret. - About Y (the bride):
Questions from her childhood and student life that H didn’t know—so he could enjoy guessing, too! - Bonus Round for Kids Only:
Since the kids were super competitive, we gave them an edge with a special round where only they could answer.

1-2. Writing Out the Answer Choices
To make things clearer, we wrote each set of choices on big sheets of paper.
When people only hear the options, it’s easy to forget what the first one was!
1-3. Preparing the Prizes
We agreed on a budget and bought one gift per person.
All the gifts were wrapped, so no one could tell what was inside.
2. On the Day
- We displayed the wrapped gifts where everyone could see them.
- The questions were read aloud, and everyone picked an answer from the four options.
- Our middle school niece took charge of keeping score—thanks to her!
- After tallying the points, she called out names in order of highest to lowest scores, and each person picked a gift.
When they revealed the answers about their first date and the proposal, I couldn’t help but squeal—it was so romantic! Then, riding the moment, my mother-in-law turned to my sister-in-law and her husband and asked, “So how about you two?”—total curveball! Way to go, Mom!
The questions about their childhoods had them both saying things like, “Wow, I didn’t know that!”
It was sweet to see them learning more about each other.
And the kids-only bonus round had the adults laughing out loud—because the answers were so obvious to us grown-ups!
Activity #2: Bingo Game
1. Prep Work
1-1. Downloading an App
We didn’t bring the traditional bingo machine with the spinning cage—
It’s bulky and hard to pack, especially for a trip.
Instead, we used a bingo app called Lucky Draw.
1-2. Bingo Cards
We bought simple bingo cards from the 100-yen store.
1-3. Prizes
Each person received a bag of snacks as a prize. We made sure they were all the same price to keep it fair.
2. On the Day
- We called out numbers using the app.
- Prizes were chosen in the order people got bingo.
Since the quiz took up quite a bit of time, we had to speed through the bingo round!
These days, it’s getting harder to gather the whole family.
We live far from our hometown and can only visit during school breaks.
My husband’s sister’s family also has older kids now, and their club activities often keep them from coming back.
That’s why this time together felt especially precious.
We’re truly grateful for the chance to all be in one place.
When my husband and I got married, his family welcomed me with so much warmth and kindness.
I really hope Y(the bride) feels just as welcomed now, and that she’s happy to be part of this family too.
